Cheryl Tyndall, owner, was responsible for the design, sewing, and installation of all soft window treatments created specifically for her clients. Cheryl received her degree in Fashion Merchandising in 1990, but soon realized that her passion was for textiles rather than clothing design. She operated her own drapery workroom and was responsible for the complete turnaround on her designs. Cheryl is an accomplished seamstress who still continues to create historical costuming using the fabrics from the line she carries. After the birth of her daughter, Lauryn, she began to employ an award-winning workroom for her custom sewing needs. In addition, Cheryl now carries an extensive line of blind, shade, shutter, and faux iron offerings that creates or completes any design imaginable. In 2007, Banyan Productions contacted Cheryl, looking for an individual who could work on the site of “Trading Spaces” being filmed in Austin. This was an exciting opportunity for her in that she was able to work alongside some very talented people. “The best thing about working on the set was the cohesiveness of a large number of people who had one goal in mind—finish the job and make sure it works,” states Cheryl. Unlike other companies, Cheryl is on-site for all installations, along with her installers. This “hands-on” approach has been instrumental in providing insight and knowledge that other individual’s may not have experience at.
